Dr. Jay Wang
Dr. Wang is a licensed acupuncturist and lifelong martial arts practitioner with over 40 years of experience in natural healing and body wellness.
He comes from a distinguished family with deep roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and martial arts—two ancient disciplines central to holistic health. His maternal great-grandfather was a renowned TCM doctor in Shanghai and was honored as one of the top physicians during the late Qing dynasty. The TCM tradition runs deep on his mother’s side, spanning several generations. On his father’s side, the family is deeply rooted in martial arts. Back then, they resided in Wu Dang Mountain, renowned as the birthplace of Tai Chi and internal martial arts. His ancestor was a martial arts champion. His paternal great-grandfather served as the chief martial arts instructor for the Qing dynasty military.
Drawing from these strong ancestral influences, Dr. Jay strongly believes the effectiveness of health tuning for his patients, and has developed a unique healing methodology focused on:
Energy balancing through acupuncture
Yin-yang harmonization with herbal medicine
Energy tuning via static and dynamic Qigong practice
Such methodology is safe, time-tested, and supported by clinical results. Patient testimonials are available upon request.
Dr. Jay specializes in pain management, spinal care, sports injuries, athletic performance enhancement, allergy relief, post-stroke rehabilitation, PMS, insomnia, energy balancing, and general internal medicine.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Jay regularly volunteers at free acupuncture clinics throughout the Bay Area. In his personal life, he is a devoted family man and an active martial artist. In his youth, he earned a Division I wrestling scholarship thanks to his accomplishments in Judo.
